Neil Simon's THE ODD COUPLE Opens Leddy's 43rd Season!

By:

Director Elaine Gatchell has chosen one of Neil Simon's funniest and most famous shows to open their 43rd Season at Leddy Center in Epping. The Odd Couple tells the story of two mismatched friends, Felix Unger and Oscar Madison. Felix, played by John Seymour of Brentwood, NH, is a neat and tidy health nut, a writer for CBS, and a connoisseur of classical music. Because of this, his wife divorced Felix and threw him out of his apartment for good.

Desperately in the need of a place to live, he moves in with his longtime childhood friend, Oscar Madison, played by John Deceareau, of Concord, NH, a sports journalist for the New York Times. He soon realizes that Oscar is the exact opposite of him: sloppy, messy, and junk food addict. Felix's cleaning, extreme hygeine habits and healthiness annoys Oscar while Oscar's crazy world of living like a pig upsets Felix. But through it all they'll learn that love, trust, and friendship are more important than living in different worlds.

Rounding out this wonderful cast of characters are Leddy favorites Greg deZarn-O'Hare of Fremont, NH, Tom Gauthier of Epping, NH and Nicol Hotaling of Portsmouth, NH along with newcomers Kimberly Miller of Jaffrey, NH, Richard Reniere of Hampton, NH, and Eric Raymond of Lee, NH.

Shows are March 10 through March 29, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays and one Wednesday, March 15, at 2:00pm. Sponsored in part by NHPTV and partially sponsored by Seacoast Coca Cola, tickets are $20 and can be purchased on line 24/7 at leddycenter.org, or by visiting or calling the box office at 603-679-2781, 2017 Subscription Series are still available through the boxoffice!! Monday through Friday, from 3:00pm to 5:30pm. Leddy Center is celebrating its 43rd Season of bringing Broadway musicals and classic drama to our greater communities as a non-profit 501c3 NH Arts and Education Organization.
