NHTP Receives Grant For 3rd Grade Residency
New Hampshire Theatre Project has been awarded a $2,000 grant from Target to support the upcoming Third Grade Story Theatre residency at Stratham Memorial School April 21-31, 2011.
Target Stores are proud to support arts in education programs in their home communities. New Hampshire Theatre Project has been conducting artist in residence programs at Stratham Memorial School for over 15 years, supported by the Stratham community. Third grade teachers believe that NHTP's theatre residencies "teach cooperation, teamwork, community building and responsibility, along with tapping into abilities not cultivated in regular classroom activities."
For more information about the Story Theatre Residency, contact Donna Lee, Third Grade Team Coordinator, 603-772-5413 ext. 147 or dleegold@comcast.net.
