PAPA Youth Workshop Presents RUN, TURKEY, RUN Through 11/18
Thanksgiving is upon us, and The Rep's PAPA (Portsmouth Academy of Performing Arts) Youth Workshop is serving up all the fixins in their original musical "Run Turkey Run". A musical based on local children's author Diane Mayer's book of the same name, with original music and lyrics by Miles Burns.
This hilarious holiday send up mixes the work of PAPA's youth actors as well as some The Rep's resident actors as well. Follow the Turkey as he uses every trick up his wing to outsmart The Farmer before the big dinner day in November. Hilarious and heartwarming, this toe-tapping and riotously written musical is sure to bring a smile to families faces.
Over 15 children split into two casts with the aid of 5 professional actors from the region make up this wonderful show. The Youth Cast includes: Liam Blanchard, Mary Jardine, Sam Kelley-Derzon, Ashtin Gagnon, Marie Lane, Daisy Tuttle, Jesse Kelley-Derzon, Lily Russell, Keeley Burke, Elise Gillis, Ryan Breden, Hannah Morrisee, Olivia Zottos, John Henry, Caraline Shaheen, Kahlan Leavitt, Katherine Desmond and Elle Young. The Rep adult cast includes: Robin Fowler, Chris Bradley, Miles Burns, Grady O'Neil and Alden Caple.
"Run, Turkey, Run" plays Saturday Nov. 10th, Sunday Nov. 11th, Saturday Nov. 17, and Sunday Nov. 18th. All shows are at 11:30am.
