by Chantal Kunst - November 29, 2018

BWW Review: EXPEDITIE EILAND at De Meervaart: Island Paradise from HELL
by Chantal Kunst - October 28, 2018
We live in a world of voyeurism. Reality tv in all its' forms is booming, and getting more extreme as time passes. Survivor (Expeditie Robinson) is such a format. The first Dutch edition in 2000 was an instant hit. Having evolved since the first edition, together with other reality tv formats, a valid question is raised... Are we going to far with candidates on reality tv shows? Where's the moral high ground? Where does the show end and intrusion in private life's begin? Where's the line?
BWW Review: EVITA at Koninklijk Theater Carré: Just a little touch of star quality!
by Chantal Kunst - October 23, 2018
Evita is a vocal masterpiece, not for the faint of heart. The vocal score is, as most of Andrew Lloyd Webber's work, as challenging as it is beautiful. Dazzling high and low notes, melodious songs, ranging in style and tempo. A classical piece in the musical theatre repertoire.
