The successful tour of Jesus Christ Superstar will receive a sensational final on 5, 6 and 7 May 2017 in Rotterdam Ahoy. In a spectacular setting, inspired by the world famous Arena di Verona, Ted Neeley will with the cast of Jesus Christ Superstar and a large live orchestra to be featured in a grand and spectacular finale. Also, a number of special guests, to be announced at a later date, will be present.

It was the request of Ted Neeley to say goodbye to his Dutch fans in a spectacular way: "I am moved by the thousands of fans who have come to see our production of Jesus Christ Superstar. It's a heart warming experience for the entire cast and crew how the fans have embraced our rockopera and we are delighted that we can come back one last time to the Netherlands to say goodbye in a spectacular fashion. Our Grand Final this will take place at the Rotterdam Ahoy on the stage where stars like Prince, Bruce Springsteen, U2 and the Rolling Stones have stood. It is a dream come true!"

The tour of the rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar launched in mid-December with a sold-out run at the Heineken Music Hall in Amsterdam, will end it's spectacular tour of The Netherlands and Belgium with The Grand Final in the Rotterdam Ahoy, where a spectacular backdrop is used inspired by the world famous Arena di Verona. The cast is extended for these performances and will be accompanied by a 32-strong orchestra. A unique and last opportunity to experience the legendary Ted Neeley, 45 years after the release of the film Jesus Christ Superstar, in the role of his life. The names of a number of special guests will be announced at a later date.

The world famous rock opera Jesus Christ Superstar tells the story of the last week of the life of Jesus, as seen through the eyes of his best friend and betrayer Judas. The musical masterpiece by Andrew Lloyd Webber, the poignant lyrics by Tim Rice and unique rendition of Ted Neeley constitute an unforgettable experience, which will be extended for this special series of performances in the Rotterdam Ahoy with a larger ensemble and a larger live orchestra.

Jesus Christ Superstar is a gripping story with great songs like 'I Don't Know How To Love Him', 'Superstar' and the phenomenal 'Gethsemane'. This large-scale English-language production of Jesus Chris Superstar is directed by the Italian star director Massimo Piparo and is inspired by the film version of Jesus Christ Superstar which was filmed in 1972.

Jesus Christ Superstar is playing until January 29th at Martini Plaza in Groningen and from January 31st until February 5th at the RAI Theater in Amsterdam.
