Dutch National Ballet Will Perform LEGACIES in September
The production will run Sept. 10-27 at Dutch National Opera & Ballet’s Main Stage in Amsterdam.
Dutch National Ballet will open its 2026-27 season with Legacies, a program featuring works by George Balanchine, Hans van Manen, Kirsten Wicklund and Toer van Schayk. The production will run Sept. 10-27 at Dutch National Opera & Ballet’s Main Stage in Amsterdam, with eight performances scheduled during the engagement.
The program includes Balanchine’s Symphony in C, van Manen’s Simple Things, Wicklund’s Monumento and van Schayk’s Requiem. Symphony in C is a classical ballet set to music by Georges Bizet, while Simple Things is a quartet created by van Manen. Monumento and Requiem complete the program. The performance has a running time of approximately two hours and 50 minutes, including two intermissions.
The opening performance on Sept. 10 will feature Maia Makhateli, Anna Ol, Riho Sakamoto, Salome Leverashvili, Timothy van Poucke, Constantine Allen, Young Gyu Choi and Semyon Velichko in Symphony in C. Salome Leverashvili, Makhateli, van Poucke and Young Gyu Choi will perform Simple Things, while Yuanyuan Zhang, Koko Bamford, Martin ten Kortenaar, Siphesihle November and Conor Walmsley will appear in Monumento. Requiem will be performed by the ensemble.
Additional performances are scheduled for Sept. 12, 13, 16, 18, 19, 26 and 27. The cast changes throughout the run, with dancers including Jessica Xuan, Anna Tsygankova, Chloë Réveillon, Giorgi Potskhishvili, Kira Hilli, Lore Zonderman, Sho Yamada and Robin Park among those appearing in different performances. The Sept. 27 performance is an adapted presentation.
Tickets are priced from €21, with seating prices varying by performance and section. The official ticketing information lists standard ticket prices for Legacies ranging from €21 to €74, while discounted rates are available for eligible audience members. Tickets for the September performances are currently on sale.
