When Greg met Sylvia, he was a man in his middle age and she was stray dog in the park. Bringing her home to their empty nest, his wife, Kate, finds Sylvia far less appealing than Greg does. Hoping to flourish now that the children are gone, Kate is less than thrilled when Greg’s attention seems to be fully focused on the foul mouthed, energetic Sylvia. The trio are forced to make sacrifices, standup for themselves, and let their guards down. Lots of bark and plenty of bite, Sylvia digs up the reality of relationships and growing older in a smart, sometimes jaded, and downright hilarious manner.
