'The Nashville Monologues' from Rhubarb Theatre Company Debuts at Darkhorse 10/30
Rhubarb Theatre Company will debut The Nashville Monologues, a collection of "personal accounts of discrimination stemming from race, sexual orientation, profession, religion, ability and embarrassing hobbies," October 30 through November 7.
Written by artistic director Trish Crist, The Nashville Monologues "explores the dark side of diversity through Halloween season performances of frightening, dramatic, revealing and (yes) comic monologues inspired by public submission" of those personal accounts.
The Nashville Monologues features an eight-member ensemble relating the 32 tales and includes Laurel Baker, Mike Baum, Robyn Berg, Phil Brady, Diana Holland, RaeMona Little Taylor, Wesley Paine and Shawn Whitsell.
The show runs at Darkhorse Theatre, 4610 Charlotte Avenue in Nashville. Tickets are $12 and performances are scheduled Wednesday through Saturday nights at 7:30 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2:30 p.m.
