Tennessee Repertory Theatre kicks off its 29th season of live, professional theatre with the world premiere of Nate Eppler's dark comedy Larries. Larries runs September 7 - 21 at TPAC's Johnson Theater (with preview performances tonight, September 5 - 6).

In this world premiere born in Tennessee Rep's Ingram New Works Project, Wanda sends her husband Larry an ultimatum by email; she wants to have another baby or she wants a divorce. Larry doesn't respond to the email and when Wanda gets home to find out why, she discovers more than one Larry. And then another Larry shows up. And then another. The multiverse is cracking like a windshield, and there are Larries everywhere. Which Larry is her Larry? And if she finds him, does she still want him?

Larries was developed with the full support of Tennessee Rep-having been written as a part of the Ingram New Works Lab and premiering in staged reading form during the 2012 Ingram New Works Festival. Tennessee Rep workshopped the new play this summer in a collaborative relationship with the playwright, Nate Eppler.

"It's humbling and overwhelming for my play to kick off such an exciting season," says Eppler. "I think just about every playwright out there wants to find an artistic home; a theatre that not only supports you and produces your work, but a theatre that believes in you and wants to invest in you as an artist. I am thrilled beyond measure to have found an artistic home at a theatre as exciting and as vital to the community as Tennessee Rep."

The production stars Amanda Card, David Compton, Geoff Davin, Shannon Hoppe, Tony Morton, and Bobby Wyckoff.
