The extraordinary ongoing chapters of a five-decade career illustrate the unending public demand for the music of American rock-and-roll heroes Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons, who will play the Tennessee Performing Arts Center's Andrew Jackson Hall, September 27, 2009. Tickets go on sale to the public on Sunday, August 16, at 10:00 a.m.

The singular body of work of the classic vocal group The Four Seasons; the compelling power of their life stories; and the timeless cultural presence of lead singer Frankie Valli's iconic voice are all continuing to drive ticket sales the world over, despite the deepening economic recession. Responding to this popular demand, Valli and The Four Seasons have extended their national solo tour schedule well into 2010.

"Nashville audiences were completely taken with the story of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons when Jersey Boys debuted at TPAC last spring," said Kathleen O'Brien, TPAC's president and CEO. "They were simply in love with the music and the story. The only way to follow such an act is to have the living legend himself perform each hit after hit that only his unique voice could carry. What an exciting opportunity for Nashville to see a show like this."

The London production of the Tony and Grammy Award-winning hit musical, Jersey Boys, was recently honored at the prestigious Olivier Awards as Best New Musical of The Year. Productions of Jersey Boys are currently running in Australia, Chicago, Las Vegas, and Toronto, with a touring company playing nationally.

Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons have charted internationally in five consecutive decades, staging one chart revival after another, decade after decade, until the smash musical Jersey Boys put the entire story onstage in rousing, foot-stomping, standing-ovation style. And, in what would be the twilight of most careers, the success of Jersey Boys on Broadway and Frankie Valli's much-praised recurring role on the HBO drama The Sopranos, launched a new career cycle for this iconic American group. Frankie Valli's current Universal Motown CD, "Romancing the ‘60s", entered the Billboard Top 200 chart 45 years to the week of The Four Seasons first charted in 1962.

Tickets to Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons range from $50-80, depending upon seat locations. For tickets, visit www.tpac.org, call 615/782/4040, or visit the TPAC Box Office (Downtown or at Davis-Kidd Booksellers in The Mall at Green Hills).
