Street Theatre Company Presents AVENUE Q 3/23-4/15

By: Mar. 01, 2012

Winner of the TONY® "TRIPLE CROWN" for BEST MUSICAL, BEST SCORE and BEST BOOK, AVENUE Q is part flesh, part felt and packed with heart.  AVENUE Q tells the story of Princeton, a bright-eyed college grad who moves to NYC with big dreams and a tiny bank account. The only apartment he can afford is way out on Avenue Q, where everyone's looking for the same things he is: a decent job, a stable relationship, and a "purpose." Eventually, Princeton learns to embrace the ups and downs of city life and realizes that "the real world" isn't so bad, after all!

Due to adult situations (like full-puppet nudity), AVENUE Q may be inappropriate for kids. Parents should use their discretion based on the maturity level of their children.

AVENUE Q features music and lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, book by Jeff Whitty, based on an original concept by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx.  AVENUE Q is directed by Martha Wilkinson, musical directed by Rollie Mains, and features Tyson Laemmel, Jennifer Richmond, Daniel Bissell, Hugh Britt, Evelyn Brush, Fiona Soul and Sayaka Mizusawa.  AVENUE Q is presented in part thanks to support from Metro Nashville Arts Commission, Tennessee Arts Commission and Graffiti Advertising.

AVENUE Q runs March 23 through April 15 with tickets only $16 for adults and $14 for students and seniors.  Seating is reserved by date order of ticket purchase, so don't wait-buy your tickets today!  For specific show dates and times, and to purchase tickets, visit www.streettheatrecompany.org.  Performances are at Street Theatre, 1933 Elm Hill Pike, just off the Briley Parkway.  For more information, call 615-554-7414.
