Sherlock Gets Spoofed In HOLMES SWEET HOMICIDE

The Blue Moon Theatre Company, located in beautiful Downtown Johnson City is proud to be serving up dessert, mystery, and laughs Friday and Saturday nights now through November 17th with our new Murder Mystery - HOLMES SWEET HOMICIDE.

Move over -- or roll over-Arthur Conan Doyle as we unveil a mystery show that spoofs Victorian customs, Sherlock Holmes mysteries, exotic diseases and cures, and more.

World-famous detective Hemlock Holmes has just returned from a trip to a sanatorium in upstate New York, where he visited a long-lost cousin. Unbeknownst to his sidekick Whatsun, Holmes has brought the cousin, Elmira, back home. When Whatsun finds out the cousin is a beautiful woman with a rare mental disorder called Disrobe-a-phobia, she's shocked and jealous! (Yes, Whatsun is a woman, too.) Mystery and intrigue abound when Dr. Charles Ovary and his nurse arrive to cure Elmira - and the doctor becomes as infatuated with Elmira as Holmes is!

You will need to keep your eyes and ears open, because someone will be ruthlessly murdered at the end of the play, and it's up to the audience to guess who-done-it!

After the performance the audience gets to vote on "Who done it". then, a fudge brownie a la mode with a chocolate drizzle is served for dessert before wrapping up the evening with the cast returning to the stage to reveal the "killer" and award a prize. Prizes provided by The Art of Escape, Luke's Pizza, and Willow Tree Coffee House.

The Blue Moon Theatre Company is located at 215 East Main Street in Downtown Johnson City. Performances are Friday and Saturday nights at 8pm. Doors open at 7:30pm. Coffee, soda, candy, and spring rolls are available to purchase in the lobby before the show.
