Orpheum and Davis-Kidd To Co-Host Special WIZARD OF OZ Holiday Breakfast 12/5

Davis-Kidd Booksellers and the Orpheum will co-host a special Wizard of Oz Holiday Breakfast on Saturday, Dec. 5 at Bronte Bistro inside David-Kidd Booksellers, 387 Perkins Ext., at 8:30 am.

Co-sponsored by Bronte and Kim 98.9, guests will meet Dorothy and the gang, have the chance to win a family fun pack of four tickets to go see The Wizard of Oz at the Orpheum in December, and enjoy a delicious all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet at Bronte, including eggs, bacon, sausage, silver dollar pancakes, hash browns, juice, milk, and coffee. Orpheum Family Series brings Mad Science Presents: CSI: LIVE! to the stage

MEMPHIS, TN. - The Orpheum will present Mad Science presents: CSI: LIVE! on Monday, Nov. 23 at 6:00 pm as part of its 2009-2010 Family Series.

Based on the number one television franchise, Mad Science presents CSI: LIVE!, an exciting, interactive journey through the fascinating world of crime scene investigations. Students become part of the action, becoming witnesses, suspects and CSI recruits. Together, they will use logic and forensic know-how to uncover hidden details, investigate the evidence and test their theories.

This show is general admission seating and is an official Family Series Show and tickets can be purchased at the Orpheum Box Office, Davis-Kidd Booksellers and all Ticketmaster locations, by phone (901) 525-3000, or online at www.orpheum-memphis.com. A Family Four-Pack can be purchased for $32, or $8 a ticket. Individual tickets are $12.50.

Family Series show to perform Monday, Nov. 30 at 6:00 pm
MEMPHIS, TN. - As part of its 2009-2010 Family Series, The Orpheum will show a live performance of Chasing George Washington, presented by The Kennedy Center for Young Audiences.

In this charming new musical, Dee Dee, Jose, and Annie accidently knock George Washington out of his portrait and into real life. As they try to get the nation's first president back into his painting, the threesome encounters other famous White House residents, including the Lincolns, Dolly Madison, and Jackie Kennedy. Together, they learn that the White House is not just a historic building; it is also a home.
