Drew McManus, a Chicago-based orchestra industry analyst and cultural commentator, has ranked the Nashville Symphony's website number one among 82 other orchestras in the United States. His results are posted at: http://www.adaptistration.com/?p=6299.

In celebration of this achievement, the Nashville Symphony is offering a Buy-One, Get-One ticket special for all October concerts, with some restrictions. This special is available online only for just 48 hours, beginning at 12 noon today, October 9, and ending at 12 noon this Sunday, October 11. To take advantage of this offer, ticket-buyers should visit the Symphony's website, NashvilleSymphony.org.

McManus based his website scoring on six categories: Performance Schedule, Purchasing Tickets, Orchestra Information, Making Donations, Dynamic Content and Functionality. This year, a new reader-review component was added to the ranking process, allowing readers to offer their own opinions and ratings for the 82 orchestra websites in contention.

With this year's result, the Nashville Symphony has occupied the coveted top spot for three of the past four years. Rounding out this year's top five are the Chicago Symphony, the St. Louis Symphony, the San Francisco Symphony and the Los Angeles Philharmonic. "We are honored once again to be at the top of such a prestigious list," said Alan Bostick, Senior Director of Communications for the Nashville Symphony. "Our website is the Nashville Symphony's most important communications tool. At a time when technology is changing so rapidly, we are committed to keeping our site as innovative and informative as possible."
