Doug Lawler to Raise Funds for Autism Awareness with Benefit Ride Concert in Rockvale

Road Warriors Riding Charity Country/rock veteran Doug Lawler will be raising money for autism research in Middle Tennessee with the Road Warriors Riding Charity (501c3) by headlining the Benefit Ride on Saturday, October 21st. 100 percent of the proceeds will be going to a local autism charity.

For motorcyclists, registration starts at 10:30am and and goes until 11:45am. The ride ride lasts until 3:30pm, and the cost is $15 per rider and $10 per passenger.

The event itself will be free of charge and free parking will be provided. There will be a live auction at 4:30pm, featuring a Pure Prairie League autographed guitar that Doug donated. Doug Lawler is set to play a rocking country set at 6pm. There will also be a scavenger hunt style ride, prize drawing, 50/50 drawing, darts, pool, and cornhole. Food and beverages will be available, with all the proceeds (excluding alcohol sales) going to charity.

Doug Lawler released his latest album "Uncompromised" in 2016, which was produced by Tesla's drummer, Troy Luccketta. Doug is also good friends with the Pure Prairie League, who were gracious enough to support this benefit concert by passing on Doug an autographed guitar, as one of the member's children struggles with autism. Doug Lawler and the Pure Prairie League plan to go on the road to play a few shows together next year.

Doug is not new to charitable efforts, and is a frequent donor to the Wounded Warriors Project. In the late 2000s, he played a free show for troops at Tennessee's Ashland City Armory before they were deployed. He also showcased his talent in a live solo performance in support of the Arthritis Foundation that was broadcast on New York television. Doug has played numerous shows to raise moneys for injured motorcyclists as well.

A Rockvale resident himself, Doug Lawley can't wait to give back to his community by playing this free benefit show the Road Warriors are putting on. The event will take place at the Road Warriors Clubhouse at 10321 Rockvale Rd., Rockvale, TN, 37153.
