Grammy Award and Stellar Award winning Gospel superstar, songwriter and producer Donald Lawrence kicked off his star-studded live recording in Chicago on Tuesday, June 18th to celebrate 20 successful years in the music industry. Lawrence's live album recording for his much-anticipated 20th anniversary album brought together legendary artists, with outstanding performances from Lawrence and his backing ensemble The Co., CCM star Natalie Grant, the legendary Karen Clark-Sheard, Kierra Sheard, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Coko (of SWV), DTP Records' soul singer Rudy Currence, Faith Evans, Lalah Hathaway, Kelly Price, Ted & Sheri, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, and a special dance performance from Laurieann Gibson. Among Lawrence's friends and fans taking in the unforgettable night of celebration were award-winning artists Michelle Williams, Richard Smallwood, Edwin Hawkins, Darwin Hobbs, DeWayne Woods, and Jonathan Nelson.

Hosted at Dr. Bill Winston's Living Word Christian Center, Lawrence, The Co., and the star lineup of performers filled the house with the stirring sounds of celebration and reverence, on hits such as "The Blessing of Abraham," "Mighty God," "Say A Prayer," "Back II Eden," Lawrence's newest single "The Gift," and more. Blessed with an amazing talent to grace the stage for over two decades, Lawrence's long-awaited 20th anniversary album will be released in September.
