La Pista Tango at Place des Arts

The world of circus arts has its global capitals: Paris in Europe, Montréal here… And in South America, Buenos Aires has its sights set on the throne. Pista Tango is the meeting-point for two traditions, Argentina’s iconic tango, and the global tradition on the rise there, the circus arts (pista is the circular area where the show takes place). And for this spectacular opening night showcasing our featured guest city, we’re going all out: the elite of Buenos Aires’ international tango festival, an orchestra onstage, an illustrator who sketches it all on the fly on a giant screen, and plenty of tango, tango, tango… A unique performance, a singular universe, a magical show. Dress to the nines and drink it all in!
