Theatre in the Round Players (TRP) presents the area premiere of Anatomy of Gray by Jim Leonard in weekend performances April 29 through May 22, 2011.
In the Bible Belt in the 1800s, June's father dies and she prays for a healer to come to her small town so no one will suffer again. Her prayer is answered--but not as she expects. Dr. Galen Gray arrives in a balloon, heals the sick and faints at the sight of blood. This area premiere by the award-winning author of The Diviners is a comedy, a drama, and a fable about faith and science, death and redemption.
Lynn Musgrave directs a cast of nine, with sets designed by Chad van Kekerix, costumes by
Dwight Larsen, and lighting by Michael Hoover. An audience discussion with director Musgrave and members of the company will follow the matinee performance on Sunday, May 8th.
Tickets are $20, with discounts for seniors and a student price of $10 on Fridays and
Sundays. For information, call the theatre's box office at 612-333-3010 or visit its website at
