"Theater Talk," the nationally syndicated program co-hosted by New York Post theater columnist Michael Riedel and producer Susan Haskins, takes an exciting look behind the scenes at Minneapolis's Guthrie Theater, in a special broadcast airing on Friday, March 20 (early Saturday morning) at 12:30 AM on WNET, Channel 13. Check local listings or visit www.theatertalk.org.

Last summer, Guthrie Director, Joe Dowling, and members of his staff showed Riedel and Haskins around the new Guthrie Theater on the banks of the Mississippi River. Guthrie creative and production team members gave "Theater Talk" a fascinating look at their not-for-profit's multiple stages, as well as all the work that goes on behind-the-scenes to maintain the Guthrie as one of the most thriving and significant theaters in the world.

Also on the program, Guthrie audience favorite, actor Charles Keating looks back at his early years with the theater's resident company and remembers Sir Tyrone Guthrie, the man whose vision and genius made this remarkable institution and America's entire resident movement possible.

"Theater Talk" is a unique television forum for theater artists, featuring conversations with the actors, directors, playwrights and others whose work is part of the New York theater season.

The series also features authors and historians discussing theater legends and classic works of the stage, as well as New York's top critics and reporters on the latest shows and trends. Video excerpts from productions often complement the in-depth interviews.

A staple on PBS in New York since 1996 - with over 430 programs since its debut - "Theater Talk" is jointly produced by the not-for-profit Theater Talk Productions and City University of New York (CUNY) TV. The series is syndicated to public television stations throughout the USA by Executive Program Services (EPS), and are available online at www.theatertalk.org. The series is also heard on Playbill Radio and available as iTunes podcasts.
