Review: CHARLIE PUTH - WHATEVER'S CLEVER! WORLD TOUR at Armory
This concert was on May 16, 2026
Charlie Puth brought the WHATEVER’S CLEVER! WORLD TOUR to The Armory in Minneapolis on May 16 and honestly just seemed like he was having a great time on stage all night.
He opened with “Beat Yourself Up” before jumping right into “How Long,” which immediately got the crowd singing along. From there, the set moved between upbeat songs like “Attention,” “LA Girls,” and “We Don’t Talk Anymore” and slower, more emotional moments like “Patient,” “Cheating on You,” and “One Call Away.”
One thing that really stood out was how good his vocals sounded live. Even during the quieter songs, his voice stayed strong and effortless, and you could tell the crowd was completely locked in. “See You Again” ended up being one of the biggest moments of the night, with basically the entire venue singing along.
Between songs, Charlie kept things pretty casual and joked around with the audience, which made the show feel more personal instead of overly polished or scripted. The production and visuals looked great, but the performance itself never felt overdone.
By the time he closed with “Changes,” the crowd was still fully into it. Overall, it felt like a really solid mix of fun pop songs, emotional moments, and genuine crowd connection — exactly the kind of concert fans were hoping for.
