The Ordway Center for the Performing Arts is excited to present M.E. Live - Melissa Etheridge on Thursday, Jan. 5, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for this special one-night-only concert start at $37 and are now available online at www.ordway.org, by phone at 651-224-4222 or in person at the Ordway ticket office.

Known for her confessional lyrics and raspy, smoky vocals, Melissa Etheridge has remained one of America's favorite female singer-songwriters for more than two decades. Her new tour will feature songs from her most recent album, MEmphis Rock & Soul, as well as some of her biggest hits, including "I'm the Only One" and "Come to My Window."

Etheridge stormed onto the American rock scene in 1988 with the release of her critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. Her popularity grew around such memorable originals as "Bring Me Some Water," "No Souvenirs" and "Ain't It Heavy," for which she won her first Grammy in 1992. She hit her commercial and artistic stride with her fourth album, Yes I Am (1993), which featured the massive hits, "I'm the Only One" and "Come to My Window," which earned Etheridge her second Grammy Award for Best Female Rock Performance. In 1995, Etheridge issued her highest charting album, Your Little Secret, which was distinguished by the hit single, "I Want to Come Over." She has also been recognized as the ASCAP Pop Awards Songwriter of the Year and earned an Academy Award for Best Song for her work on An Inconvenient Truth.
