Old Log Theatre Extends MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET Million and Announces Next Productions

The Old Log Theatre (Owners, Greg and Marissa Frankenfield, along with Artistic Director, R. Kent Knutson) announce that due to popular demand it will extend its run of Million Dollar Quartet by four weeks, now playing through February 18, 2017. Ticket sales start at $29 and are on sale through the Old Log Theatre box office at 952-474-5951 and online at www.oldlog.com.

The Old Log Theatre celebrates its' 77th year by announcing the winter children's show, a new comedy and a regional premiere musical: Reluctant Dragon, Savannah Sipping Society and Ghost the Musical.

RELUCTANT DRAGON November 15 - December 31. Produced by Excelsior Entertainment, Written and directed by R. Kent Knutson

In this beloved classic story, a young boy befriends a poetry-loving dragon living in the hills above his home. When the town-folk send for St. George to slay the dragon, the boy needs to come up with a clever plan to save his friend and convince the townsfolk to accept him.

SAVANNAH SIPPING SOCIETY March 4 - May 20, 2017 (PREVIEW March 3). A new play from Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten. Directed by R. Kent Knutson

In this delightful, laugh-a-minute comedy, four unique single Southern women, all needing to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines, are drawn together by Fate-and an impromptu happy hour-and decide it's high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they've lost through the years. Over the course of six months, filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures, and the occasional liquid refreshment, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jumpstart their new lives. Together, they discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment-and most importantly, realize it's never too late to make new old friends

Adapted from the hit film by its Academy Award-winning screenwriter, Bruce Joel Rubin, GHOST THE MUSICAL follows Sam and Molly; a young couple whose connection takes a shocking turn after Sam's untimely death. Trapped between two worlds, Sam refuses to leave Molly when he learns she is in grave danger. Desperate to communicate with her, he turns to a storefront psychic, Oda Mae Brown, who helps him in the hope of saving and protecting Molly.
