Boasting sold-out shows and overwhelming demand, Mixed Blood Theatre has announced that it is adding 28 more performances, including new late night Saturday shows, and extending the run of the outrageous coming of age tale, AVENUE Q, from May 1 to May 29 inclusive. Tickets for the people-puppets-and-monsters comedy can be purchased online at www.mixedblood.com or by calling the box office at 612-338-6131.

Beginning May 3, performances will be Tuesdays-Saturdays at 7:30 p.m. with late night Saturday shows at 10:30 p.m. and Sunday performances at 3:00 p.m. All performances are in the Alan Page Auditorium at Mixed Blood's historic firehouse theatre at 1501 S. 4th St. on Minneapolis' West Bank.

Director Jack Reuler said, "The absolutely positive response to AVENUE Q as a vehicle for Mixed Blood's mission through irreverent humor, great music, terrific performances, and wild entertainment has been heartwarming. What seemed to some an unlikely show for Mixed Blood has proven to be a joyous surprise, showcasing us at our naughtiest!"
