Jersey Boys Plays the Orpheum April 21-May 8

Jersey Boys, the Tony, Grammy and Olivier Award-winning hit musical about Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, returns to Hennepin Theatre Trust's Orpheum Theatre, April 21-May 8, 2011. Directed by two-time Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff, this sensational blockbuster is written by Academy Award-winner Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, with music by original Four Seasons member Bob Gaudio, lyrics by Bob Crewe and choreography by Sergio Trujillo. Jersey Boys is the winner of the 2006 Tony Award for Best Musical, the 2006 Grammy Award for Best Musical Show Album, the 2009 Olivier Award for Best New Musical and the 2010 Helpmann Award for Best Musical (Australia). The premiere engagement of Jersey Boys in Minneapolis played March 19-April 20, 2008, was seen by nearly 100,000 theatregoers and broke Orpheum Theatre box office records. Show times are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 7:30 p.m., Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 2 and 8 p.m. and Sunday at 1 and 6:30 p.m. There are 2 p.m. matinee performances on Thursday, April 21, 28 and May 5. There is no 6:30 p.m. performance on Sunday, May 8.
