Main Attractions- Fri-Sun, Dec 10-12 - Mainstage Series: Lovers' Quarrels, Wed-Sat at 7:30pm; Sun at 2pm, Mainstage Theatre

Molière's second full-length play in verse, "Lovers' Quarrels" is a complex comedy animated by deception and misunderstanding. In a new translation by Richard Wilbur misinformation, mistaken identities, and manipulation abound in 17th Century Parisian society. Don't miss the reconciliation experienced by all at the end of this tour de force. Director: Bill Watson.

A festival atmosphere surrounds the 26 undergraduate choreographers working on the themes of gender and identity. Choreographers explore these themes through their refined understanding of their bodies and are prepared to wear their emotions sleeveless. The Department of Dance's biggest blowout round of one-hour performances ever, New Dancemakers: In the Flesh points to introspection and invention.

ElizaBeth Johnson, faculty member and Artistic Director of Your Mother Dances, presents "In a Black Mood," a reprise of Your Mother Dances' successful summer premiere at the Minnesota Fringe Festival in Minneapolis. All dances, costumed in some variation of black, explore unabashed emotional intensity as well as subtler, moods -- darker sentiments alongside holiday cheer.
