It's another busy week at the Peck School of the Arts as students and faculty prepare for the end of the semester and graduation. Check out all that we have to offer in art, theatre, film, music and dance!

May 3 - Department of Music: Music on the Move, 7:30pm, St. John's on the Lake, 1840 N. Prospect Ave.
Music Department students perform a recital at St. John's on the Lake.

May 3 - Percussion Ensemble, 7:30pm, Zelazo 280
The UWM Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Carl Storniolo and Tom Wetzel, performs a concert featuring StaiNed Glass by David Gillingham.
Tickets: $10 -$7

May 3 - The Apple Tree - Special Understudy Performance, 7:30pm, In Tandem Theatre
As part of the collaboration between In Tandem Theatre and the Peck School BFA Musical Theatre program, Peck School students will take the stage in a special understudy performance of "The Apple Tree."
Tickets: $12

May 4-9 - Theatre Mainstage Series: Hay Fever, all shows at 7:30pm except Sun at 2pm, Mainstage Theatre
The Mainstage Theatre series concludes its season with the style and sophistication of "Hay Fever," Nöel Coward's classic comedy of bad manners. Pre-performance talk on 5/5 at 6:45pm.
Tickets: $15 -$9

May 4 - Wind Ensemble & Symphony Band, 7:30pm, Bader Concert Hall
The Wind Ensemble and the Symphony Band welcomes guest composer Mark Phillips for a performance of his work "Color-Code This!" Phillips was the winner of the 1988 Barlow International Orchestral Competition. The program will also feature the rarely heard 1929 scoring of Percy Grainger's exotic Hill Song II, and a performance of Anthony Plog's Concerto for Flute and Wind Ensemble, with graduate flutist Melissa Bravo, a winner of the 2010 UW-Milwaukee Bands Concerto Competition.

May 4 - Guitar Boogie: A Finger-Style Guitar Recital, 7:30pm, RecitAl Hall
UWM finger-style guitar students present an evening of guitar solo performances. Refreshments will be served.

May 4-15 - UWM Department of Visual Art: BFA Exhibition II, Gallery hours: Tu-Sa,11am-4pm/Closing reception 5/15, 5-7pm, Inova/Arts Center
An exhibition of work from BFA students receiving their degrees in spring and summer 2010.

May 5 - Artists Now! Jennifer Bolande: Retrospective, 7pm, Arts Center Lecture Hall
In conjunction with INOVA's presentation of the first midcareer retrospective survey of Jennifer Bolande's art, the artist will offer a lecture casting a glance over 30 years of her work.

May 5 - Violin Studio Recital, 7:30pm, RecitAl Hall
Students in Professor Bernard Zinck's violin studio offer a recital.

May 6 - FILM: Locally Grown, 7pm, UWM Union Theatre
A program of locally-produced film and video featuring Peck School students.

May 7 - Aug 8 - Jennifer Bolande & Cecelia Condit, Opening 5/7, 6-9pm/Hours: W & F-Su, 12-5pm & Th, 12-8pm, INOVA/Kenilworth
"Jennifer Bolande: Landmarks, 1982-2010" presents the first major survey exhibition of Bolande's work, spanning three decades of work in a wide array of media.
"Cecelia Condit: 1981 to Present" is a comprehensive collection of Condit's film and video work, covering every major film and including a new video installation never before seen in Milwaukee.

May 7 - Student Film Festival, 7pm, UWM Union Theatre
A juried showcase of the best short films and videos from the students of the pioneering UWM Film Department.

May 7 - UWM Choirs: Spring Choral Concert 2, 7:30pm, Bader Concert Hall
A concert featuring the UWM Concert Chorale and the University Choir. Directed by Sharon Hansen and José Rivera.
$10-$7

May 8 - UWM Choirs: Spring Choral Concert 3, 7:30pm, Bader Concert Hall
A concert featuring the Men's Glee Club, directed by José Rivera, and the Women's Chorus, directed by Sharon Hansen.
Tickets: $10-$

May 9 - UWM Jazz Lab Combos, 3pm, RecitAl Hall
Two jazz combos, led by Steve Nelson-Raney and Curt Hanrahan, offer a concert featuring popular tunes and jazz improvisation.
Tickets: $10 general/$7 students, seniors & UWM alumni, faculty & staff.

May 9 - UWM Jazz Ensemble & Youth Jazz Ensembles, 7:30pm, Bader Concert Hall
Concert featuring performances from three big bands. College, high school and middle school students will perform big band music from many different eras.
Tickets: $10 general/$7 students, seniors & UWM alumni, faculty & staff.
