Skylight Music Theatre to Host TASTE OF THE WARD, 3/27

Skylight Music Theatre has announced its second annual Taste of the Ward will take place Thursday, March 27, 2014. This fundraising event aims to showcase and celebrate the culinary excellence and diversity of Skylight Music Theatre's neighbor restaurants. Taste of the Ward will begin at 5:30 pm at the Broadway Theatre Center.

Now in its second year, Taste of the Ward is a one-of-a-kind culinary event featuring the best flavors of the Third Ward. Last year, our event attracted nearly 100 attendees and boasted nine partner restaurants from the Third Ward. This year, we plan to showcase even more that our neighborhood has to offer. Guests will have the opportunity to sample dozens of unique and diverse menu items - hors d'oeuvres, entrees, desserts - plus enjoy a cash bar operated by Indulge. Guests will also have the opportunity to win raffle prizes, including tickets to Skylight performances, gift certificates to neighborhood restaurants, and bottles of wine.

New this year, guests will have the opportunity to cast their vote for their favorite restaurant in three different categories: The Best Overall Taste of the Ward, The Most Unique Taste of the Ward, and The Most Creative Presentation of the Ward. Winners will be posted to Skylight Music Theatre's Facebook and Twitter pages following the event.

All funds raised at Taste of the Ward provide significant support for our artistic and education programs.
