Marcus Center-Live at Peck Pavilion Series Returns in July

MilwaukeeJobs.com is proud to present Live @ Peck Pavilion on the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts grounds this summer. The season will run from July 24 through August 27 and each day of the series will have a different program focus and all events will all be free and open to the public.
Live @ Peck Pavilion will feature the following: Sunday Afternoon Concerts: This season includes Kids from Wisconsin (7/24), Milwaukee Metropolitan Community Concert Band (7/31), Milwaukee Festival Brass (8/7), West End Conservatory (8/14) and Milwaukee Police Band (8/21). Tuesday Lunch Concerts: Noon performances for the downtown lunch crowd featuring SistaStrings (8/2), Shonn Hinton & Shotgun (8/9), Whiskeybells (8/16) and Pat McCurdy (8/23). Tuesday Evening DanceMKE: Area dance artists will showcase their talents in a dance competition in front of the audience and judges. Each week (8/2-8/23) will feature a series of performances and winners from each week will return for the finals on August 23. Registration for dancers is open at MarcusCenter.org/DanceMKE . Peck Flicks: The family friendly movie series continues with screenings of Angels in the Outfield (8/5), Jumanji (8/11), Willy Wonka at the Chocolate Factory (8/19) and Princess and the Frog (8/26). The Live at Peck Pavilion series will culminate in a day-long celebration titled: Taste of Islands . This one-day celebration will focus on island culture with music, art and food. This year, Jamaica is the featured island with reggae favorites Unity Band and Natty Nation each doing full sets at 3pm and 7pm respectively. Other activities for the day will include authentic food for purchase, outdoor painting with Arte Bar and Painting Lounge, local art vendors, plus face painting and other kids activities.Videos
