The Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design (MIAD) and Inova, situated within the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Peck School of the Arts, are joining forces to present Makers in Print: International Exhibition, January 18-March 24, 2013. The exhibition will take place concurrently at MIAD's Frederick Layton Gallery in Milwaukee's Third Ward and Inova's gallery on the East Side. Opening receptions will be held at both galleries on Gallery Night, January 18.

Makers in Print is a central component of the 41st conference of Southern Graphics Council International (SGCI), to be hosted by MIAD and the UWM Peck School of the Arts from March 20-23, 2013. The exhibition celebrates the global vitality of printmaking through works selected by coordinating curators from Argentina, China, Mexico, Poland, South Africa and South Korea. A curated selection of works by SGCI honorees - Lesley Dill, Margo Humphrey, Frances Myers, Alison Saar, and Judith Solodkin/SOLOImpression - is also featured.
