First Stage Children's Theater's 17th annual Make Believe Ball will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011 from 5:30-10:30 p.m. in the Crystal Ballroom at Hilton Milwaukee City Center, located at 509 W. Wisconsin Ave. in downtown Milwaukee.

This annual black-tie, family-friendly event is an opportunity for the community to provide valuable financial support for First Stage Children's Theater. Last year's Make Believe Ball raised over $139,000 for First Stage with 400 adults and children in attendance. All proceeds from this event support First Stage's mission to touch hearts and transform lives by creating exceptional theater experiences for young people and families.

Tickets for the Make Believe Ball are $50 per child, $75 per teen and $175 per adult. Family and corporate tables (for up to ten people) are also available. Ticket prices include a formal dinner, one-of-a-kind voice and silent auction, children's entertainment, and music and dancing for guests to enjoy throughout the evening.

Providing the children's entertainment is: Organized Chaos, First Stage Theater Academy's improvisational comedy team, dedicated to bringing audiences not only a smart, fast paced, and quick-witted comedy show, but also a family friendly performance for people of all ages to enjoy; and Magician Rick Allen.

The theme for this year's Make Believe Ball is centered on First Stage's upcoming production of U: BUG: ME, running February 18-March 13, 2011.

This year's voice auction will be facilitated by Angela Beaudoin, professional auctioneer. Voice auction items include: a one-week stay in a four-bedroom single family house in Breckenridge, Colo.; access to a Brewers Club Suite for 20 guests; and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a child to serve as a Milwaukee Bucks Team Attendant for a 2011-2012 game.

The silent auction will feature items such as an autographed Donald Driver football, four tickets to a Green Bay Packers home game, and the just-released 2011 American Girl Doll of the Year.
