TONY N' TINA'S WEDDING Plays 4/3 At Andiamos In Michigan
As the eyes of the world turn to Detroit for the big college basketball tournament, oNe Young couple will follow the action closely when they march down the wedding aisle. In fact, the cast, crew and audience members will themselves be the center of action - comedic action - at Tony n' Tina's Wedding.
The special production of "Tony n' Tina's Wedding" takes place on Friday, April 3 at Andiamos Celebrity Showroom, 7096 East Fourteen Mile Road, Warren, Michigan 48092. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and Tina walks down the aisle at 7:30 p.m.
Tickets are $63 and include show ticket, champagne toast, Andiamo's delicious wedding dinner, wedding cake and entertainment. A live band, Donny Dulce and Fusion, provides the music for dancing. Tony n Tina's Wedding is hailed as the finest example of interactive theatre since it's opening in New York on February 14, 1988. The play has been performed in more than 100 cities around the world, including those in Japan, Australia and Europe.
In the hysterical, interactive experience the Nunzio and Vitale family members, played by professional actors, bring every patron into the action. After the ceremony the characters intermingle, hobnob and reveal family secrets to the guests that are not soon forgotten. As the hilarious action ensues, audiences enjoy a traditional Italian Wedding dinner complete with a toast to the bride and groom and then dance to a live band. .
For ten years, Detroit Actors Guild has performed "Tony N' Tina's Wedding" for more than 100,000 audience members since opening at Pontiac's Baci Abracci. Tony and Tina (Fred D'Agostino and Katie Ennes pictured in attached photo) are among ten cast members who have been in the show since its inception. One of the most popular theatrical productions ever staged in Detroit, the Off-Broadway production is also one of the longest continually running shows in theater history.
