Hope Summer Repertory Theatre is currently in rehearsals for its upcoming production of THE WIZ by Charlie Smalls & William F Brown, and BroadwayWorld has a behind-the-scenes look at rehearsals below!
Performances for THE WIZ begin June 22nd and continue through August 10, 2018, and will kick off HSRT's MainStage Season in the DeWitt Theatre.
The cast of THE WIZ, features Maya Lagerstam as Dorothy, Chaz Sanders as the Scarecrow, Brandon Wright as the Tin Man, Marcus Martin as the Lion, Madeline Jones as The Wiz/Aunt Em, Rachel Davenport as Adderpearle, and Jasmine Walker as Evilenne/Glinda. The production also features a ensemble which includes: Jeremiah Beasley, Jimmy Nguyen, Teresa Cameon, Donavan Chambers, Rebekah Santiago-Berger, Julia Gomez, Brynne Fritjofson, Chip DuFord, Devri Chism, Sara Ornelas, Kristin Conrad, and Austin Winter,
The production is directed by Director Marcus Denard Johnson (Also Rep, Titan Theatre Company), and will feature Scenic Design by: Sandy Yaklin (Gideon Productions NYC, HERE Arts Center NYC), Lighting/Projection Design by: Alan Piotrowicz, Costume Design by: Andrew Vincent, Sound Design by: Tyler Knowles, Music Direction by: Alex Thompson, and Choreography by: Chaz Sanders.
