Paul's Players to Present THE SOUND OF MUSIC, 7/25-27

By:

Life truly imitates art in Paul's Players summer workshop production of The Sound of Music, the well known Rodgers and Hammerstein musical based on the true story of the Van Trapp family of singers. The Paul's Player production, with a cast of over 50 people, includes numerous families represented with siblings, parents, children, husbands and wives. Paul's Players will produce this popular show on July 25, 26, and 27, 2012, 7:30 p.m., at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 27475 Five Mile Road, Livonia. Tickets are $12 for adults and $10 for seniors and students.

The multi-generational musical workshop, with cast members and singers ranging in age from 5 to 85, gives families a rare opportunity to participate in a musical theater experience together. Pat Hutchison, founder and Artistic Director of Paul's Players, finds the summer musical an ideal venue to further one of Paul's Players biggest missions. "One of the things we want to do is offer people of every age an opportunity to participate in theater," she says. "The summer musical is perfect because it allows several members of the family to enjoy a theater experience together."

Tickets for The Sound of Music may be purchased by calling (248) 347-4134, or e-mailing paulsplayers@gmail.com.
