With dazzling spirit and energy, the Grammy Award-winning ORPHEUS CHAMBER ORCHESTRA teams up with two-time Grammy Award-winning violinist Pinchas Zukerman for an evening of Bach, Beethoven, Mozart and much more. The Orchestra has recorded 71 albums and commissioned 42 original works. They also received a Grammy Award for their album Shadow Dances: Stravinsky Miniatures.

For one night only, Monday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m., the ORPHEUS CHAMBER ORCHESTRA, part of the Classics Series at Wharton Center, will perform on the Cobb Great Hall stage. Performing without a conductor, Orpheus rotates musical leadership roles for each work, and strives to perform diverse repertoire through collaboration and open dialogue.

PINCHAS ZUKERMAN is considered to be one of the world's finest violin players. Receiving a staggering 21 Grammy nominations with 2 wins, Zukerman has proven himself as a force to be reckoned with. He joins ORPHEUS CHAMBER ORCHESTRA with his unique style of violin playing.

The evening's program will feature Johann Christian Bach's Symphony in G minor, Op. 6, No. 6; Mozart's Violin Concerto No. 3 in G major; Beethoven's Romance for Violin and Orchestra No. 1 in G; Ravel's Le tombeau de Couperin and Harold Meltzer's Vision Machine, a new work commissioned by Orpheus for the program.
