Michigan’s Biggest Improv Tournament Returns to Go Comedy! May 4

Go Comedy! Improv Theater is excited to announce the return of the highly successful BITS Tournament. After a sellout success in its inaugural year, the tournament's second year will conclude with the launch of Spontaneous Combustion Motor City, Detroit's biggest improv festival.
Beginning Wednesday, May 4 and running through Wednesday August 10, Go Comedy! will host the second annual Bailout Improv Tournament Spectacular (BITS). Sixteen improv teams from across metro Detroit will compete every Wednesday night at 8pm in a single elimination tournament for a $1001 cash prize. Each week, two teams will face off on the Go Comedy! stage with just 22 minutes to impress the audience with their skills. At the end of the hour, the audience will choose by secret ballot the winning team which will continue in the tournament. The audience favorite will be announced each week during the 9pm show, Proving Grounds that evening.This year's BITS Tournament will end with the opening celebration of Spontaneous Combustion Motor City - Detroit's biggest improv festival. The team that wins the BITS tournament will also win a performance slot in the festival.Registration for BITS is now open and continues through 11:59pm, Thursday, April 28. A $40 per team entrance fee includes registration and postcards for teams to promote their performance(s) in the tournament. Fees are paid AFTER a team is selected for the tournament.
