McCree Theatre Performs A Tribute to Motown: An American Dream Story, Through 5/29
The New McCree Theatre, 5005 Cloverlawn Drive, will perform A Tribute to Motown: An American Dream Story as its season's wrap-up performance. Get your tickets early to New McCree Theatre's new musical and you will accomplish two things. First, you will assure yourself a seat in this fast-selling musical. Indeed, this new musical takes you back to the early days of what became Motown Records and reacquaints those who were youngsters or young adults in the sixties and seventies with all of the beautiful music we grew up with.
Songs like "My Guy," "Stubborn Kind of Fellow," "Shop Around," "Please Mr. Postman," and, "Money" and many, many more provide the musical score for this production. The story, however, lies in the symbolism Motown Records conveys to a people struggling to realize their full potential.
