Local comedians Mike Bonner and Michael McDaniel are hosting the Detroit Comedy Challenge on Dec. 11 and 12 at the City Theatre. Performances are at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. each night.

Headlining the first-annual Detroit Comedy Challenge is Comedian Corey Holcomb from Last Comic Standing and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. After an evening of ‘who can laugh the loudest' the winning comedian will have the opportunity to perform at the Fox Theatre. The event will also feature live music from the sultry and talented Sky Covington. Keeping in the spirit of giving during the holiday season, a portion of the show's proceeds will be donated to support Meals on Wheels.

Tickets ($20.00) are on sale now and may be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, the Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. To charge tickets by phone, call (800) 745-3000.
