Karen Newman Celebrates Christmas Eve On Woodward Avenue

Detroit's Karen Newman, invites the public to experience "Christmas Eve on Woodward Avenue", presented by People's Plus, at the historic Fox Theatre on Wednesday, December 21 at 7:30 p.m. Part of the Fox 2011 - 2012 Theater Series presented by Fifth Third Bank.

For nearly two decades, Newman has captivated crowds at Joe Louis Arena with her signature rendition of the national anthem and now metro-Detroit can celebrate the holidays with the local icon's debut on the Fox Theatre stage. "Christmas Eve on Woodward Avenue" is titled after Newman's holiday hit single, which has become a seasonal tradition on local radio and in Detroit's Thanksgiving Day Parade, and will feature original songs and holiday favorites.

Tickets ($23.50 and $48.50) go on sale Friday, October 14 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, the Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, HockeytownAuthentics in Troy (without service charge), at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com.
