IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE Continues At The Sauk

The classic holiday film "It's A Wonderful Life" comes to life on stage at The Sauk in Jonesville for four performances this weekend. The production began performances November 30.

The story is of George Bailey, the Everyman from the small town of Bedford Falls. His dreams of escape and adventure have been quashed by family obligation and civic duty. George's guardian angel has to descend on Christmas Even to save him from despair. Along the way, he reminds George - by showing him what the world would have been like had he never been born - that his has been, after all, a wonderful life.

The Sauk cast is led by Bryan Maruschak as George, Trinity Bird as Clarence, Eric Moore as Potter, Savannah Durocher as Mary, Deb Lemke as Aunt Tilly, Kevin Lemke as Uncle Billy, Sandi Miller as Ma Bailey, Tyler Wilson as Harry, Andy Anderson as Bert, Travis Blatchley as Ernie, Mari Nunez as Violet and Trevor Wagler as Young George. The cast also includes Brietta Allen, Crystal Bahr, Sara Cark, Shannon Chen, Landen Clabaugh, Allie Cleveland, Barb Cliffe-Miller, Bruce Crews, Ellie Gray, Aaron Guest, Clara Heath, Jack Hendrickson, Jo Johnson, Blake Ryan, Mike Sutton and Jonah VanderHoff. The production is directed by Kristin Hood with stage management by Michelle Trippett. The design team includes Hood (sets, lights), Traci Jo Hubbard (costumes), Blatchley (props) and MJ Dulmage (sound).

Performances are December 7, 8, 9 at 8 p.m. and December 10 at 3 p.m. Tickets are $12 for adults, $10 for seniors (55 and up) and students and $8 for children (12 and under). All senior tickets to the December 7 performance are $5. Tickets can be purchased by calling 517-849-9100 or visiting www.thesauk.org. The Sauk Theatre is located at 240 E. Chicago in Jonesville.
