Go Comedy! Improv Theater welcomes Son of The Maltese Falcon, Professor Richard Myron's You-Tube Bonanza, and the Bailout Improv Tournament Spectacular to its weekly schedule in March. A complete weekly performance schedule follows this release. Tickets ($5-$15) for all Go Comedy! shows are available online at www.gocomedy.net, by calling 248-327-0575,or in person at the Go Comedy! box office.

Starting tonight, Wednesday, March 3rd, 16 local improv teams begin a 15 week journey to win a $1,000 cash prize in BITS - The Bailout Improv Tournament Spectacular. Every Wednesday at 8pm two improv teams will compete, the audience will vote, and one of the teams will move on to round two in the tournament. BITS is followed at 9pm by The Proving Grounds, where local improvisers present new improvised forms, shows and written material in a weekly showcase. Fresh Sauce: The Improv Jam rounds out Wednesday nights at 10pm when anyone can join in the improvisation.

Thursday nights at Go Comedy! kick off at 8pm with a FREE show presented by the Ferndale Public Library. Long considered one of the most hard-boiled classics of hard-boiled detective fiction, Dashiell Hammett's "The Maltese Falcon" gets an injection of improv comedy in Son of The Maltese Falcon. The Go Comedy! cast will tell Hammett's basic story of three murders, too many double-crosses and one honey of a Maltese treasure - but with a twist. Based on one audience suggestion, you'll see a hilarious, completely improvised version of this timeless mystery. Presented by the Ferndale Public Library, Son of The Maltese Falcon is free to audiences as part of The Big Read, an initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts. The show features Lauren Bickers (Ferndale), Joe Hingelberg (Canton), Tim Kay (Ypsilanti), Louie Krause (Wayne), and Mark Sobolewski ( Ferndale) and is directed by Bryan Lark (Ferndale).

Son of A Maltese Falcon is followed at 9pm by the original comedy, HOBO. Mike Walsh is at a point where he is tired of his job, his life, and the people around him. Just then he meets Chester , a Hobo who opens Mike's eyes to the world of hobo freedom. This hilarious one act play asks if it's better to go about the daily grind, or to chase after your dreams and true freedom. HOBO is an original comedy written by native Detroiter & improviser Tim Robinson that had its original debut at the Planet Ant Theatre and features Go Comedy! company members Garrett Fuller (Garden City), Bryan Lark (Ferndale), Steve Forbes (Ferndale), Andrew French (Ferndale), and Suzie Jacokes (Ferndale) with Woody Carter (St. Clair Shores) and Jon Ager (Bloomfield Hills). The show is directed by Tommy and Michelle LeRoy of Ferndale and will run through Thursday, March 25. Tickets for HOBO are $10.

Thursday nights close at 10pm with the Go Comedy! original show, Professor Richard Myron's You-Tube Bonanza. Join Tommy LeRoy (Ferndale) on a visit through the web's funniest videos. Tickets are just $5 or FREE with the purchase of a ticket to HOBO.

Friday nights will continue to rock at Go Comedy! as the hit improvised rock opera Rock-o-Matic takes the stage at 8pm. With just a few suggestions, the Rock-o-Matic cast and band create a fully improvised 50-60 minute rock opera. Rock-o-Matic will feature a rotating cast including Ferndale residents Matt Naas, Pj Jacokes, Suzie Jacokes, Bryan Lark, Cara Trautman and Mikey Brown, as well as Ryan Parmenter (Plymouth).

Go Comedy! tackles love and relationships in its fully improvised show Date Night, every Saturday at 8pm. Using real singles ads from local papers, the cast creates the story of a man and woman on the perilous journey that follows a blind date. Each show is one of a kind and is based on ads audience members hand pick prior to the show. Date Night features a rotating cast of Go Comedy! resident company members.

Friday and Saturday nights, Rock-o-Matic and Date Night are immediately followed by Guess Who's Coming to Improvise! This 30-minute show features members of the Go Comedy! resident company with special guests for a hilarious improvised set. The guests may be local celebrities, artists, brides or grooms to be, birthday celebrants, moms, dads, and more. Tickets for Rock-o-Matic and Date Night include Guess Who's Coming to Improvise.

The Go Comedy! All Star Showdown continues at 10pm on Friday and Saturday nights. In the All Star Showdown, two teams of Detroit 's best improvisers go head to head in an improv competition tailored to challenge their abilities, think on their feet, and give audiences a roaring good time. The cast also plays for audience members who take home fabulous prizes when their team wins. It's a night of hilarious laughs and great times at the Go Comedy! All Star Showdown. The showdown is followed by the free long-form improvised set, Dark Matter, at 11:30pm.
