Fox Theatre Adds Performance For Tyler Perry's MADEA'S BIG HAPPY FAMILY 5/6

By popular demand, a sixth performance has been added to Tyler Perry's Madea's Big Happy Family engagement at the Fox Theatre on Thursday, May 6 at 8:00 p.m.

Tyler Perry has created another (#12) blockbuster mega hit that is actually a cultural experience. It has been a smashing hit on the west coast! The live stage production is a reality show because it depicts real life situations in our own families. Leave it to Tyler Perry to bring it home! It delivers a message of love, hope and inspiration yet this big happy family offers plenty of dramatic events that are just hilarious. It is packed with GREAT SINGING...great acting and of course Madea's in rare form. It takes us back to where it all began with the one and only Madea. The production consists of state of the art lighting and staging; video screens and a 9-piece orchestra band to compliment the show.

Tyler Perry starring as Madea, has a cast of familiar and new characters. Cassi Davis (Ella from House of Payne); Cheryl "Pepsii" Riley (Joyce) and Chandra Currelley (Shirley), both stellar R&B artists who have been in several of Mr. Perry's productions - plays and movies; Palmer Williams, Jr. (Uncle Monroe) from House of Payne and other Perry productions; Tamar Davis (Kimberly) and Crissy Collins (Tammy) both from previous productions. There are 14 cast members in all. Two of them were discovered recently on YOUTUBE!

Madea's Big Happy Family is embarking on a 50+ city tour that began January 4, 2010 in El Paso, Texas. Major cities, Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago and Detroit are all included. Madea's Big Happy Family brings to the theater pure entertainment that transcends all ages.
