Family Night BOGO Held at Grand Rapids' Mary Poppins

The Fifth Third Bank Broadway Grand Rapids Series announced today that MARY POPPINS, playing DeVos Performance Hall February 22-26, 2012, will have a special Family Night during the Sunday, February 26 6:30pm performance. With the purchase of a full-priced adult ticket, a child, up to 18 years of age, can see the show for free! In addition to seeing a Broadway show for free, Family Night guests will be treated to a host of activities in the inner lobby of DeVos Performance Hall from 5-6:30pm. The first 100 children will also receive a free MARY POPPINS gift bag with show merchandise inside.

MARY POPPINS, a co-production of Disney and Cameron Mackintosh, opened on Broadway on November 16, 2006. Based on P.L. Travers' cherished stories and the classic 1964 Walt Disney film, MARY POPPINS the stage play features the Academy Award®-winning music and lyrics of Richard M. Sherman and Robert B. Sherman. The stage production has been created, in collaboration with Cameron Mackintosh, by Academy Award®-winning screenwriter Julian Fellowes, who has written the book, and the Olivier Award-winning team of George Stiles and Anthony Drewe, who have composed new songs and additional music and lyrics.

Olivier Award-winning director Richard Eyre leads the award-winning creative team, with co-direction and choreography by Tony® and Olivier Award winner Matthew Bourne. Adults purchasing a full-priced “adult” ticket will receive one free ticket for a child up through age 18 to the same show. Complimentary tickets MUST be used by a child.
