Detroit Repertory Theatre Announces Black Tie Awards Night and Homecoming Celebration

The Detroit Repertory Theatre announces the Theatre's 62nd Season annual fundraiser, the Black Tie Awards Night and Homecoming Celebration. The Black Tie Awards Night will happen at the Theatre at 6:30 pm on Saturday, November 17, 2018. The Black Tie is the biggest fundraiser of the year for the professional theatre located in the geographical heart of the city of Detroit. Guest will enjoy hors d'oeuvres and champagne while mingling with DRT actors of the past and present.

Master of Ceremonies, actor, comedian and talk show host Michael Joseph will introduce Keynote Speaker Donnell R. White, Chemical Bank's Chief Diversity Officer, followed by an awards presentation to the best artists of last season as voted by the Rep's Subscribers, and a presentation of the world premiere of Evidence of Things Unseen by Katie Forgette. Following the performance, guests will partake in dessert and champagne in the Gilda Gallery with the actors, artists and special guests of the evening.
