MotorCity Casino Hotel is proud to announce Dennis DeYoung: The Music of Styx, at Sound Board on Friday, July 16 at 8:00pm.

Dennis DeYoung is a singer, songwriter, musician, and record producer best known for being a founding member of the rock band Styx. Styx has sold over 35 million albums worldwide and DeYoung has written eight of their nine top ten singles. Styx was the only band to ever record four consecutive triple platinum albums. DeYoung has recorded seven solo albums including Desert Moon, whose title track achieved Top Ten status.

DeYoung made his Broadway debut in 1993, starring as Pontius Pilate in Andrew Lloyd Weber's Jesus Christ Superstar's 25th Anniversary Reunion Tour, and made his major motion picture debut in 2005's The Perfect Man, in which he played the lead vocalist in a Styx tribute band. In 2008, his musical The Hunchback of Notre Dame premiered at the Bailiwick Repertory Theatre in Chicago.
