In tribute to the late American composer Steven Stucky, who passed away last weekend, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra will perform his Dreamwaltzes during the Joshua Bell program on May 26-27.

The originally scheduled unnamed World Premiere by Music Alive Composer in Residence Gabriela Lena Frank will appear January 9, 2017 on a program with Cho Liang Lin.

He once said of the piece: "The subject of Dreamwaltzes is dreaming about what it would be like to go back and write music like Brahms and Strauss, and facing the fact that while we can look back we can't go back."

Tickets are available here.
