Christmas Show Starring Rodney Atkins, Sara Evans & More Plays The Fox Theatre
Olympia Entertainment and WYCD are happy to announce the 99.5 WYCD Christmas Show starring Rodney Atkins, Sara Evans, Jason Michael Carroll and Edens Edge at the Fox Theatre on Wednesday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m. Part of the Fifth Third Holiday Series.
Rodney Atkins' platinum-selling 2006 album If You're Going Through Hell gave him his breakthrough with four number one singles including "If You're Going Through Hell (Before the Devil Even Knows)", "Watching You", "These Are My People" and "Cleaning This Gun (Come on in Boy)". In addition to the overwhelming radio and video airplay, he earned the Academy of Country Music's Top New Male Vocalist award, plus five other ACM nominations and two Country Music Association nominations.
Sara Evans has earned numerous number one hits including "Born to Fly," "No Place That Far," "Suds In The Bucket" and "A Real Fine Place to Start," which spent two weeks at the top of the country charts. Of the studio albums Evans has released, her sophomore set, No Place That Far, has been certified gold; 2001's Born to Fly is double-platinum and 2003's Restless and 2005's Real Fine Place are both platinum.
Jason Michael Carroll debuted at number one on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart with Waitin' in the Country. His first two singles, "Alyssa Lies" and "Livin' Our Love Song," shot into the top 5. He opened for Brooks & Dunn, Trace Adkins, and Alan Jackson, and became part of the 2008 tours of Carrie Underwood and Martina McBride.
Edens Edge is a music trio comprised of Hannah Blaylock (lead vocalist), Dean Berner (harmony vocals, guitar, dobro) and Cherrill Green (harmony vocals, mandolin, banjo, and guitar). The talented trio composes a unique musical blend deeply rooted in Country and Bluegrass. They are currently writing and recording their album debut.
