The Clucked Up Comedy series brings "Clucked Up Saturday Night" to Detroit's intimate City Theatre on Saturday, March 24 starring comedian/actress Cocoa Brown (Tyler Perry's new sitcom For Better or Worse), Kevin "Damn Fool" Simpson ( Russell Simmons' The Ruckus comedic series) and featuring award-winning comedian Larry Lancaster (Baltimore's Funniest Comedian in 2010 and voted Best Comedian for 2011 DMV Awards). Hosted by Detroit's first lady of comedy, Simply Shanell, "Clucked Up Saturday Night" will take to the City Theatre stage for two performances at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

Tickets ($23) are on sale now and can be purchased at OlympiaEntertainment.com, The Fox Theatre and Joe Louis Arena box offices, Hockeytown Authentics in Troy (without service charge) at all Ticketmaster locations and Ticketmaster.com. Co-founded by comedic writer Karl King and Melissa Talbot, "Clucked Up Saturday Night" was inspired by an encounter King has with comedian/actor Reginald Ballard, best known for his character "Bruh Man" on the hit series Martin; starring Martin Lawrence.
