THE CHRISTMAS CAROL CAPER, SCROOGE THIS, a Holiday Comedy by Dennis Wickline, is the fourth offering of the season at Broadway Onstage Live Theatre when it opens on Friday, December 2. Running Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm through Friday, December 23, there will also be a Special Sunday Matinee at 2pm on Sunday, December 11.

Broadway Onstage Live Theatre is located at 21517 Kelly Rd. at Toepfer (8 ½ Mile Rd.) in Eastpointe. The theatre is the home of the patented TeeVeeStageTM Presentation system, which employs cameras above the audience and monitors above the stage to provide audience members with different viewing perspectives of the live stage performance. Broadway Onstage Live Theatre is also the home of Dennis Wickline Productions, Inc., which began producing Non-Equity professional live theatre on the Eastside of Detroit in February of 1980.

Tickets are $16, and this year Broadway Onstage is again offering special Holiday Group Rates for our holiday production. Groups of 13 or more pay only $13 each, and groups of 21 or more pay only $11 each.

THE CHRISTMAS CAROL CAPER, SCROOGE THIS! tells the story of the Tawas Bay Regional Acting Company and their annual presentation of THE CHRISTMAS CAROL as a benefit for the Tawas Bay Home for Orphaned and Unusual Children. Sam's T-Shirt Emporium and Live Theatre is the home of the Tawas Bay Regional Acting Company. Sam Gorning, the owner of it all, always plays Scrooge at the annual presentation. This year, however, he is missing 10 minutes before the curtain goes up. Also missing is one of Sam's love interests, Lani Wickersham, the actress who portrays Marley and all of the ghosts. With the first performance always a benefit for the orphans, the locals decide to forge ahead with understudies portraying the important roles. As the performance progresses, it becomes evident that two murders have occurred. The local police chief, a member of the cast, and her assistant, also a cast member, decide to investigate as the show progresses and the show and the investigation progress to a comedic conclusion.
Portraying the Scrooge understudy, Olin Mickelhoff, is Dennis Wickline. Mr. Wickline is the Producer of all shows at Broadway Onstage. Sara Felarca, a local professional actress with a wealth of talent and credits, takes on the role of Penelope Pendleton, the understudy portraying Marley and all of the ghosts. John McClure and Elizabeth Rager, Broadway Onstage favorites, portray Police Chief Erma and her assistant Herb. Sharron Nelson, who has been featured in several local films and professional stage productions, takes on the role of Lauren, the actress portraying Tiny Tim. Beth Duey and Patrick Sharpe, who have also been seen in numerous productions at Broadway Onstage, portray Mrs. Cratchit and Bob Cratchit and Mandalynn Carlson, a local young film actress, will be seen as Kyleigh Winston, the student narrator of the production. Co-Director of the production is Christopher Oakley, who just directed THE SEX MANIAC at Broadway Onstage.

Tickets for Opening Night, Friday, December 2 are $14. Tickets for all other performances are $16. Again, Broadway Onstage is located at 21517 Kelly Rd. at Toepfer (8 1/2 Mile Rd.) in Eastpointe, Michigan. Ticket Reservations are strongly recommended by calling (586) 771-6333.
