Go Comedy! Improv Theater announces upcoming guests for its Thursday night show, Soapbox Derby, for the weeks of April 9 and 16.

8pm Thursdays ($5), is an improvised show featuring local musicians, comedians and community leaders. Each week's guest presents stories, comic routines, or songs which the Go Comedy! cast uses to create on-the-spot scenes. Past Soapbox Derby guests have included Ferndale Mayor Craig Covey, WDET radio host Craig Fahle, and Between The Lines publisher Jan Stevenson.Beginning Sunday, May 3rd, Soapbox Derby will move to Sunday nights at 8pm replacing Timeless: The Danceical which will officially close its Go Comedy! run on Sunday, April 26.Thursday nights also feature the 9 O'Clock Comedy Hour with the Go Comedy! House Team at 9pm ($5); Missionary Accomplished: The Audacity of Hump, a rollicking comedic adventure through the wonderful world of sex that covers everything about sex, love and relationships from their humble, passionate beginnings, to their bitter awkward endings. No group is left out of this show's veracious skewering of everything that happens in the bedroom and beyond at 10pm ($10); and Matt Naas & the Sing-a-long Singers - a one-man interactive show that feature's the amazing improvisational musical talents of Go Comedy! resident member Matt Naas at 11pm ($5). Tickets ($5 per show or $10 for the entire night) are available through the Go Comedy! Box office at (248) 327-0575, and at the theater beginning at 7pm Thursday nights.
