Beyond Belief Senior Theatre and Chorus to Perform at Two Muses Theatre, 3/6-7
Beyond Belief Senior Theatre & Chorus will present their newest original variety show, Love is in the Air at Two Muses Theatre on March 6 and 7. Beyond Belief is a "well-seasoned" troupe comprised of nearly forty singers, dancers, and performers ranging in age from 55-100 years young who desire to share their love for the performing arts in the Detroit Metro area.
This traveling non-profit musical group began performing for residents in many area senior living centers in October 2013. The group believes that people of all ages benefit from participating in musical activities as either a performer or audience member. They have also entertained larger audiences in public concerts at the Novi Middle School and Genetti's Hole-In-The-Wall in Northville. Music Director, Ruth Anne Zimmer, says the group's prevailing belief is "If you can walk you can dance. If you can talk you can sing."
Now Beyond Belief is pleased to be partnering with Two Muses Theatre in West Bloomfield with their latest production, Love is in the Air. This variety show will take the audience back to the "Happy Days" of the 1950's---long before the days of cell phones, texting and social networking and back to a time when dating revolved around jukeboxes, soda fountains, and going to "The Hop." Marilee Dechart, artistic director of Beyond Belief says "A majority of our cast members were teenagers during this decade and will sing, dance and supply just the right amount of "Necessary Nonsense" as they bring to light the joys and woes of being in love. Bring your 'steady' and enjoy an afternoon that will be Beyond Belief!"
Two Muses Theatre is an intimate 130-seat theatre located inside Barnes & Noble Booksellers, 6800 Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield (south of Maple). There is ample free parking and handicap accessibility. Performances are Friday, March 6 and Saturday, March 7 at 2:00pm.
